Watford show the way

Aidy Boothroyd and Watford Football Club are togther no-more. Fifteen points from fifteen games is not good enough for the Hornets so they parted company "by mutual consent." I'm not sure if this means Aidy gets a pay-off but the implication would appear to be he hasn't or at least it's nothing like the compensation he could have received if he'd hung on to be forced out. I wonder if there's more to this than meets the eye?Interesting, I think you'll agree!

Boothroyd saved Watford from the drop in his first season and took them into the Premiership in his second. He could do little to stop the drop in 2006-07 when they came down with us but they did reach the semi-finals of the F A Cup that year and he took them to the play-offs last season. His side may only have the same number of points as us but don't seem to be in nearly such a mess. 

I could see Boothroyd at the Valley. A managerial swop with no compensation payments would suit both clubs, and presumably, both managers at the moment. If that's too far-fetched, maybe Aidy's prepared to wait a few weeks until Pards is paid off. He's always struck me a Charlton-type of manager.
