Half-Marathon D-Day

It's been raining steadily all night in south-east London. I am having a cup of tea and contemplating the struggle ahead from 10am as the hardy 12,500 fight their way, step-by-step, around the cold, wet streets of Greenwich Borough.

The weather forecast is not good and everyone looks in for a soaking. I'll be concentrating on the first couple of pints and a few sarnies in the Anchor....
