Katrien Meire to be relieved of her duties - [Reissued]

[This post is being reissued as Katrien Meire has paid to have negative articles about her largely cleansed from search engines - no-one should be able to control free information]

Following yesterday's gubbing and the anticipated demonstration at Saturday's home defeat against Blackburn Rovers, I am expecting Roland to make his second statement within a week. Katrien Meire's position as Chief Exec has become untenable and she has overstayed her unwelcome in the same way Karel Fraye did with similar results.

She has gone to ground in recent weeks and hasn't been seen anywhere as far as I can ascertain. Certainly not at matches and she has been anonymous in the sacking of Fraye and re-appointment of Riga. She was rumoured to have met Riga in a central London hotel but that suggests she's still in hiding.

In the same way that Fraye lost the dressing room and alienated every single supporter, she has lost the stadium and there can be no-one left who would entertain any form of her redemption. Her lying, spin and in-built arrogance have proven too much and all credibility has gone. Whilst she remains in charge, prospects for season ticket renewals will be abysmal and even she must recognise that she needs to fall on her sword, if not have it wielded by Duchebag.

Indeed, the Coalition Against Roland Duchatelet (CARD) will now ratchet up the pressure on the hapless owner and he has to sacrifice his prodigy if he wants to have any chance of holding on to the club. If he remains defiant on this he will do so in the knowledge he will haemorrhage cash running Charlton Athletic and, I suspect, it would only be because he is actively lining up a sale and wants to withdraw with Katrien in the same move. The smart money has to be on her being given a face-saving role elsewhere in the network, although her fall from grace would be complete and hugely cheered in SE7 circles.

  2. I loathe that woman with a,passion. Every lie she told, every smarm and smile. The restaurant comments. Her silly 2%... And yet she is, like Fraeye, another symptom. She and Murray wittered on about 'interim' manager while the season burned, but while I imagine we will all get a laugh out of her getting shoved out the door, the damage is much graver, and like Fraeye, the new CEO will likely be given a similar remit to the one KM has dealt with so spectacularly. If ever there was a role for Curbs, it would be as manager of football at CAFC, but while RD has acknowleged mistakes last week, his record of actually dealing with them by changing tack is rotten. I hope KM stays on for one last photo shoot at the Valley, as we need to give it the big one against Blackburn. Before, during and after.

Shes probably abroad trying to get Tal Ben Haim back, as we dont have a sciut anymore, so only recruit players theyve already met

  4. I truly believed that she would be gone before Blackburn, even before the Colchester, Huddersfield and Hull debacles, if nothing else, Roland is quite predictable.

Meire knows that attending the Blackburn game would not be a wise move on her part, nevertheless, we must continue to vociferously demonstrate our desiee for RD to get the hell out of SE7.

  5. Let's keep our fingers crossed Dave. I'm sceptical that this will actually happen though - she is the human shield for RD. Despite making lots of errors, she will have had no say in the appointment of the last 5 managers. What self respecting person from outside of the network would take up this position at CAFC?

  6. Dave,

I honestly, sincerely hope that you are right and that the lying conniving wench is gone by next Saturday - but I'll believe it when I see it...

Douchebag would have the same problem finding a Chief Executive for the club as he would a British manager.
Who, of any standing, would want to work for this dictator who is clearly 'off the wall' (if not totally mad...)and whose views you would have to represent even though they are the total opposite of what is needed to run the club and business successfully?

Douchebag only employs Yes Men and Women because anybody with any sense or self-respect wouldn't have anything to do with him - which of course is why he got rid of Chris Powell.

Unless the Douchebag does a 180 degree u-turn and suddenly has a complete change of heart little is going to change at the Valley in the short term.
He HAS admitted failings in player recruitment last summer which is a step in the right direction - yet in the current transfer window he goes on to repeat those same mistakes, you couldn't make this tw@t up.
Words can say anything but it is ACTIONS that count - and though he has admitted to making mistakes he's probably only saying that to placate us all - deep down he probably doesn't agree with his own statement!

What we probably need more than a Chief Executive at the Valley is a Chief Psychiatrist....!! They could probably right a complete book on the Douchebag.

  9. Dave, dark days indeed. Don't kick a man when he's down though! Hendon wasn't in goal for the Cup game so on a positive note he's only conceded 11 goals in the past week. Does;t that make it seem a lot better. Phil.
