Great to hear that Igor Vetokele has been awarded Sky Bet's Player of the Month for August in the Championship. Not a huge surprise but there were cases for Lewis Grabban and others. Sky Bet have recognised his achievement bearing in mind he is new to English football and he is joint-top scorer.
Kenny Jackett gets the Manager of the Month from Sky Bet for Wolves' fast start and reflecting they are newly promoted, although there must have been a case for Bob Peeters in similar vein to Vetokele.
Igor must be away for a Golden Boot fitting because it was Big Bob who accepted the trophy on Igor's part this week.
Finally, I will join the throng in wishing Chris Powell all the best in Eckey-thump Land as Huddersfield's new manager. After what has probably been a decent Summer break for Chris, he is now back on the ladder and Town are probably as good a re-start as he could have hoped for. He will receive a big reception when he returns to the Valley in February and Town go up a notch in my estimation.
