Tuesday boost

The two League One matches played last night went our way. Huddersfield Town were walloped 5-0 at St. Mary's, a result which will have the Southampton-worriers in a state of heightened anxiety. I am not one of them - the ten point penalty they suffered for going into Administration and slashing their debt has done it's job and will be the perfect irony if they fail to make the play-offs by less than this. Having said that, Pards looks like he has bought well (Lambert, Barnard, Puncheon and Papa Waigo all scored) and the Saints should be a force next season.

Huddersfield find themselves five big points adrift of the Addicks now with no games in hand. They also have an awkward trip to Gillingham on Saturday whilst we face knocking over rock-bottom Stockport, who themselves were beaten 1-0 at Bristol Rovers last night. Stockport also managed to get midfielder David Poole dismissed before the final whistle, which should give us a further advantage on Saturday.

  1. Now you are getting overconfident.
Remember this is Charlton we are talking about. Sit tight and enjoy the ride.
