Wise rumour quashed

The South London Press is reporting that the rumoured takeover interest of Wise, Jiminez and Co has ended over "key details" in the deal. If you knew absolutely nothing about the reason for a loss of interest, quoting "key details" would be as little as you could say.

Whatever the reason, I hope it's all true and that's the last we see of the Weasle Wise. In more detailed reporting, "a source" close to the collapsed deal has said that this leaves the way clear for the Two David's, Sullivan and Gold. Obvious therefore, that the SLP is also running the piece that David Sullivan has set his sights on the near-death Crystal Palace. Hard to know whether to laugh or cry? Perhaps West Ham would be a better place for the pair of them after all, assuming they are still keen on working together.

  1. Delighted Wise will not be allowed to destroy Charlton. I'd take Sullivan and Gold though. Despite how they earned their money Birmingham was a well run club.

  2. Think West Ham is the club Sullivan & Gold really want but it's probably too expensive for them.

This 'key details' is baffling me. The Jimenez/Wise/Middle East consortium would presumably make a bid if they wanted to buy the club.

They are not going to because of these 'key details'. Is this the reason other interested parties have fallen by the wayside?

As Jimenez was involved - allegedly - with the Zabeel bid he must surely have known about all the 'key details'. Hmm...

  3. You may find that the 'Key Details' have something to do with the current board wanting £12m plus the £15m in loan bonds, plus the £7m they put in last month, plus the club to keep all the other debts.

Last I heard that valued the club at a figure nearer to £60m than £50m. If that is true is makes us a lot less than a steal for a third division club.

It makes West Ham's £100m debt with Premier League status look like a good deal.

What ever the truth I'm not sure there is much future in anyone buying the club to sell it on for a profit. That could well scupper most of the potential offers.
