Season Tickets arrive early?

My season ticket has arrived. It doesn't normally land until a week before the season starts. Maybe they have been able to process these quicker now that demand has halved? I hope the choice of cover doesn't prove to hugely ironic in the days and weeks ahead.

  1. apparently you can't give out season tickets if you go into administration - just a thought?

  2. Yup, mine arrived this morning too. When I renewed the club said they would be sent out two weeks before the start of the season.

This is definitely the earliest I have ever received it.

  3. Actually I think you can get season tickets pre admin but when you actually go into administration these can be written off as undecured debt(I know someone who had a 25 yr Bradford Season Ticket and it happened to him)

So that piece of paper might not actually be worth anything....

  4. Writing off Director debts is one thing. Shafting your Customer base is quite another. The Club wouldn't be worth saving if that happened and the most loyal members of the fan-base were alienated in this way.

  5. Whilst a 25 yr ST is a significant commitment (about 10k??), it makes no sense to 'write it off' unless you expect that the person will simply buy another one. By doing so, you lose not only the goodwill, but also the extra revenue that would be generated, whether by programme, food sales, etc.

However, if you are concerned, then buying by credit card should cover you.

  6. Well I haven't received mine yet, but yes I did pay by credit card, so if The Addicks do go belly up I'm covered then?

Like everyone else I just want to know what's going on. Come on Mr Waggott......get your finger out!
