It's looks like Darren Ambrose is preparing for life after Charlton Athletic when his contract expires at the end of the season. He is being
quoted making comments about the possibility of a move back to Ipswich Town and is "flattered that a man like Jim Magilton" would be acknowledging Ambrose as a worthwhile acquisition. Seems like everyone is happy then - Darren has simply failed to lived up to his potential in my book and has been a major disappointment. I only hope we get a bit more out of him before he departs.
I for one would be sorry to see him go. yes I would agree that he has yet to live up to his potential, but then he was more often than not played on the wing, not his best position, targetted by the boo boys and playing with an injury which it was the responsibiltiy of the club to diagnose three years ago. he was 2nd top scorer last season and I am sure had a pretty healthy number of assists, with our likely further cuts in costs of next season of another £11m it seems that he, ZZ and anyone else displaying a modicum of quality will depart before next season but wishing it upon us seems shrt sighted in the least.
ReplyDeleteOh please god , this is true
ReplyDeleteDo you think we could get a whip round organised to help him on his way
i'll also be in the few that will be sorry to see him go - we will need him more next season when even more leave - unless we get promoted hahahahahaha!!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck Dazza
