Palace to survive again?

Whenever things are at rock bottom, it's always encouraging to know you might not be alone. There has been a lot of wishful thinking on the Internet in recent days that Palace might go one better than last year and make relegation.

I have looked into my Crystal ball and am saddened to report that I saw smug celebrations in SE25. The fact is they are three clear of Scunthorpe and four ahead of Preston, but both of those look like they will struggle to get more than another three points, in which case, one more result from Palace should make them safe.

Don't let that stop your bedtime prayers. If there is a God, then you have to hope for some divine justice every now and again.

I can't see what the preoccupation with Palace getting relegated is all about. Shirley we are all Sarf London supporters together. I for one hope Palace do stay up, Millwall win the play off's and take their rightful place amongst footballs elite and MK Dons (that famous south London club who everybody loves) win through the league one play off's and get into the Championship.

If the Palarse do go down then all of a sudden searching the new fixture list in June will become a bit less depressing.

    Come on you Lillywhites/Irons!!!

  2. On the plus side, Preston have picked up 14 points from the last possible 21, so don't count them out yet ;)

  3. I would love to see Palace go down. They've threatened to do it on a few occasions but have always managed to scrape it. I don't think this year will be any different.

It's still possible Alan Knill might do us a favour though. He managed to keep Bury up against the odds when he first took over there, would love to see him do the same with Scunny.

  4. It's hard to imagine Scunny will be stronger than Palace next season, so we should be careful what we wish for.

With at least one (maybe two) of Soton, Huddersfield and Peterboro' staying down, and Sheff Weds likely to be much stronger (in my view), it will be a tougher looking division if Sheff U, Preston and Palace come down too.
