League One Weekend Preview, Game 5

It may be the fifth game of the season for most of us but for the Grecians it's only game number four. They have drawn 2-2 twice at home so far and gone down 3-0 at Leyton Orient. It looks eminently winnable to me, and we have to hope that the new faces to the squad will have engendered enough fresh interest for us to raise our game and do it. I won't be making the trip and am currently torn between supporting the Wings on "Non-League day" and listening in the Addicks at St James.

MK Dons v Hartlepool United
After a 4-0 home defeat last week, Hartlepool won't be travelling with great confidence and they face an MK Dons side who won their second from three league games played so far at the weekend. Hard to see anything other than a home win here.
Prediction; 2-0

Carlisle United v Swindon Town
Struggling Swindon won't much fancy this one. What's gone wrong down the M4 in only a few months? A couple of decent players have moved on but you would think they have lost half the side.
Prediction; 2-1

Dagenham & Redbridge v Leyton Orient
Tasty East London derby in prospect at "corn-beef city." The O's have recovered after their early season beating at home by us and have put a couple of very decent results together including a midweek win in the JPT at Brighton. The Daggers will scrap here and both sides would probably settle for a draw.
Prediction; 1-1

Exeter City v Charlton Athletic
I'm going to be bold this week and confidently plump for the away win. Abbott or Benson are bound to score and if we can show the defensive solidity of recent games, then I think we can take control of this one.
Prediction; 0-2

Huddersfield Town v AFC Bournemouth
A cracker on the cards here. Both sides sit comfortably on 7 points and AFCB look like they are enjoying themselves so far in League One. Town will be looking for a home-win double and a chance to quickly establish themselves as early table toppers. Town too good.
Prediction; 2-0

Notts County v Yeovil Town
Both of these sides have managed four points from four games. I can see them finishing the season very close together and it may be hard to separate them tomorrow.
Prediction;1-1

Oldham Athletic v Bristol Rovers
The Latics are maintaining their impressive start to the season and Rovers should be victims in waiting after their 4-0 home walloping by a Pardew-free Southampton last week. Too much for the Pirates.
Prediction; 3-1

Southampton v Rochdale
After their ominous win in Bristol, it will be interesting to see if there is a positive or negative reaction to Pardew's sacking. Rochdale had a very good win at Brentford last time out but this should be an altogether different proposition.
Prediction; 3-0

Tranmere Rovers v Peterborough United
This has "away win" written all over it. Tranmere haven't managed a win from three so far and may have to wait a bit longer. Free scoring Posh will fancy a repeat of the 3-0 win at Plymouth.
Prediction; 0-2

Walsall v Colchester United
The theme of the weekend appears to be sides on level points playing each other and this is another. Home advantage should swing this although David Mooney will be out to net again to remind us of what we're missing.
Prediction; 2-1

Brentford v Sheffield Wednesday
Oh dear. Just as I mention a theme of sides with matching starts playing each other, we have top versus bottom on Sunday. I will be cheering the Bees on but expect Wednesday to build on their lead at the top as they send out a warning message to the rest that they expect to return to the Championship.
Prediction; 1-2

Come on Charlton, stir the blood!
